Nintendo Remixes Classic NES Titles on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Want to dabble in your retro side? Nintendo have put together a new compilation of classics, but with a twist.

NES Remix is the latest release from Nintendo on the eShop, available today, bringing 16 different titles but approached in new ways for fans and newcomers. Much loved Nintendo games like Super Mario Bros. and the original Donkey Kong have been shuffled about and re-imagined with twists and challenges as "Remix Stages".

There's also support for Miiverse with 8-bit stamps and the ability to post records on the network.

£9....i think i'll take a miss on this!

I like the idea alot, I wish they'd do more of this, I believe they released new levels for Super Mario Bros. 3 on the GBA through the e-card reader? I wish they'd do this more often, I'd buy new levels every week through the VC!

£9 for what is essentially a NES game though, no thanks.

Pretty darn pricey for what its worth - but I do like that idea. Nintendo could make a decent amount by hiring out smaller teams to remix classics like this.

This is a very intriguing concept that I would love to check out. I'm not sure about the price point though, it's perfect if the game has a lot of content. I think I'll wait until I know more about it, tbh.
