New Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Trailer and European Date

Nintendo showed a new trailer for its big early 2014 title developed by Retro, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

DK, Diddy, Dixie and new playable character Cranky must fend off the Viking-like 'Snowmads' from the Northern Seas, intent on invading DK Island. Set across six different worlds that contain dynamic levels, the video highlighted some of the moves of Cranky Kong, who uses his cane to perform unique abilities. With Cranky now stepping into the action, Funky Kong will be manning the item shop.

The video also gave a look at the new Kong POW move, which turns enemies into items and can be activated once 100 bananas are collected.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will be available to buy at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for Wii U on 21st February in Europe.
