SEGA Could be Teasing Shenmue 3 in new Viral Image on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

In the build-up to the New Year SEGA have posted a peculiar image that could be a teaser for Shenmue 3.

In what initially appears to be a promotion for Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed DLC, with Shemue protagonist Ryo riding an original OutRun arcade cabinet, the license plate could be a teaser for something bigger...

"SHEN 3" is splattered across the license plate, together with  the caption "Is it a Car?", leading fans to believe SEGA could finally patch up the agonising wait for the conclusion to the Shenmue series. However, it could be the third transformation - with "SHEN 2" signifying the sea and "SHEN 1", the plane modes.

think there trolling

...No...SEGA aren't smart enough to do such a thing...besides any original work on Shemnue 3 would probably need a lot of work and considering they spent an absurd amount of money making the previous one i doubt it will ever happen...

Maybe as a eShop/app store download...??

Wii U exclusive.

Shen 1, 2, 3 would not make sense for license plates of different transformations. We all know almost every level begins in the chosen characters car format. Alwys starts with a car, which would make this trnsformation number 1. Boat and plane would be 2 or 3. This is either a clear indication that shenmue 3 is on its way, or could be just a cruel joke. But seeing as that Czerny and Suzuki have been photographed together, the woman who took the picture said they were discussing shenmue 3, Suzuki will speak about Shenmue at GDC next month, an the fact that the beans were already spilt that Sony is looking to get this game as well as all the other non hopefuls that fans have been asking for tells me only one thing. Sony is aiming for number 1. They plan to win the war by listening to what we want and bringing back franchises that have long been dead to satisfy their audience. Im all in. Was going to get an xboxone for christmas, changed my mind at the last second knowing this would happen.

Happy New Year!

Don't get too excited over the number plate, it is of course a tongue in cheek reference to just how long it's taking for SEGA to get that third part out Smilie

So yeah don't get your hopes up guys, it means absolutely nothing, a fandom joke at the most.

It's probably just DLC for All Stars.

Its the the one franchise Sega have that could make people pay attention to them again and get gamers getting ape shit crazy over and all they keep doing is churning out average Sonic games and other forgettable games. Wake up SEGA!

Unfortunately, won't happen. SEGA have already proven themselves to be major douche lords. Will never happen......
