More Zelda: Majora's Mask Teasers from Director Hiromasa Shikata

More Zelda: Majora

Skull Kid is secretly giggling deep within the Lost Woods as Nintendo has teased yet more Majora's Mask news.

The Legend of Zelda fans are sitting poised and ready for the much talked about possible port or remake for the critically acclaimed Nintendo 64 Zelda outing. A relatively darker plot, life, death and impending doom - Majora's Mask has remained a firm favourite and strong candidate for remake treatment.

In the latest issue of GameInformer, A Link Between Worlds director Hiromasa Shikata commented on the inclusion of Majora's Mask references in the 3DS game, stating how it "was a special request from Aonuma's production team. Now why would they ask us to do that?"

Do you think Nintendo is prepping a Majora's Mask remake - if so, for which platform?

As much as people are saying 3DS, I'm hoping they'll make a pwoper remake on Wii U - really atmospheric, dark visual style - like that slick fan trailer from way back when.

If there isn't a 3DS remake, I'm willing to place a pretty big bet on Zelda U being a direct sequel of some sort. Despite Majora's Mask ending on a note that pretty much sealed up the story, something is telling me they might just open up a hole or SOMETHING I'm not too sure but it just seems like all of this stuff with MM is more than coincidental at this point. (And as it's my favorite Zelda, I hope they will do something!!)

A sequel would be interesting and if that was the case then definitely on the Wii U. If it was a port/remake then I would prefer the 3DS.

I am not all clued up on things like this but couldn't they just reuse the engine from the 3DS OoT? Would be a lot easier??

Ive never played Majoras Mask so hopefully theyll remake this!!

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

Yeah, if it's going to get a remake it's definitely coming out for the 3DS since they already have an established engine for it with OoT 3DS.

I rather see the Wii U get a new Zelda title than a remake considering the Wii U still doens't have an original Zelda Title.
