BBC iPlayer App In Development for Wii U on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

A post on the BBC Blogs has confirmed that an iPlayer app is in development for Nintendo's latest home console.

Whilst the original Wii had an iPlayer app for those in the UK, the Wii U has yet to receive support from any of the major UK TV channels.

In a post detailing the launch of iPlayer on PS4, one reader posed a question to the development team who confirmed that they "are working to bring BBC iPlayer to both Xbox One and Nintendo Wii U in the future, but we have no further details to share at this time."
