Reminder: Wii Fit U Free Trial Expires Jan 31st on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo have sent out a reminder to those on the fence about Wii Fit U that the free trial demo is about to expire at the end of the month.

From the game's digital launch last fall until January 31st, fans have been able to take on the latest host of exercise routines and fitness mini-games as part of a 30-day trial scheme. However from 1st February the game will be charged at full price.

Those who do download the trial can keep using the software beyond the demo period by purchasing a Fit Meter accessory instead.

There'll be three flavours for those who intend to purchase the game later:

  • Wii Fit U bundle (includes both Balance Board and Fit Meter) for $89.99 - available now.
  • The game alone with Fit Meter for $49.99
  • Wii Fit standalone for $29.99
Will you hop into the Wii Fit U trial demo or wait until a later date?

Until I talked with others on Miiverse today I thought I had to get the Meter and sync it by 1/31 to get the game. I was relieved to hear that I can get a Meter anytime (especially since my Meter won't be arriving from Amazon until early next week) and keep the game for free.
