Nintendo Refunds Batman Arkham Origins Season Pass on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo have started to issue refunds to Wii U owners who purchased a season DLC pass for Batman: Arkham Origins.

Due to low demand for additional content in the Wii U version of Batman: Arkham Origins, Warner Bros. Interactive have decided to remove the upcoming story campaign content for the system. Because the season pass would have naturally included the download, Nintendo have stepped in to refund players the $19.99 cost of the pass in the form of eShop credit.

"You will still be able to enjoy the content already released thus far," said Nintendo of America in a statement. "We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your support of the game."

This is disappointing. I'm very close to finishing Arkham City and was planning on ordering Origins soon. Now I'm debating whether to purchase it at all.

Is this for UK only? Cause I was able to purchase the season pass for my copy. Really though you're not missing anything noteworthy. It's just the DLC costumes plus a short 4 or 5 challenge gauntlet that takes place when Bruce is training, nothing a quick youtube check won't satisfy. It'd be cool if you could use the bearded vagabond Bruce Wayne skin for the main game but alas it's limited to that challenge only.

You're better off spending your 20 else where.

The upcoming story DLC featuring Mr. Freeze was cancelled for Wii. U, which is the reason for these Season Pass refunds.

Aaahhh lame...well at least Nintendo is kind enough to give us a full refund, I doubt Sony would be so kind if placed in the same situation.
