First Footage of Moon Chronicles in Action on 3DS on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Renegade Kid has crafted together a new trailer for Moon Chronicles, a remake of the hit Nintendo DS shooter.

Coming to the Nintendo 3DS this year, the new game will be an episodic take on the concept, rebuilt ground up in stereoscopic 3D for handheld.

Speaking to Polygon this week, the studio's co-founder and director Gregg Hargrove noted how the team has a "personal connection to the story and the idea," and so waited for the initial agreement with publisher Mastiff before grabbing hold to the rights for the game.

The first footage of Moon Chronicles in action shows off some of the revised texture work, animation and lighting as Moon is set to get a fair bit creepier for a more immersive experience this time round.

Will you launch into a Moon Chronicles on 3DS later this year?

I always wanted to play Moon on DS but simply never got around to it. With a pretty great pricing structure and little competition in the genre, there's a good chance I'll finally give this a go when it's released.

Tis good - I had the original way back when, was a great and highly underrated little gem Smilie

Indeed, i wanted to play it back then and never got the chance! Hopefully will this time around. I am actually suprised by the lack of competition, i really thought there would be something else out there at least in the works!

I hope Renegade Kid can work out an agreement with GameCock to bring the Dimentium games to the 3DS AND finish the series with a 3rd entry since the 2nd one was too short & had a BIG WTF ending...good ending....but they need to explain it with a 3rd Dementium.

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422

I completed the first Dementuim really enjoyed it, When i got around to the second I got stuck in some hallway with some weird head thing constantly following me, It really annoyed me so I never went back :\ hopefully they release them and a third.

Hmmm...I don't remember a head in the hallways (except for those freaky shrieking banshee heads *shudder*) but the ending boss was epic for a 3DS game & then they finish the 2nd one with an Alice through the looking class type of ending & leave you wanting more!!
