Nintendo Denies Involvement in Flappy Bird

Nintendo have spoken out about the sudden removal of the immensely popular mobile game, Flappy Bird.

After creator Dong Nguyen decided that the pressure of maintaining the game was too much to handle, the app was removed from the various markets over the weekend. Disappointed, some fans had speculated that Nintendo may have been involved, however the company have confirmed that it hadn't complained about the similarities to Super Mario Bros.

"While we usually do not comment on the rumors and speculations, we have already denied the speculation," said Nintendo spokesman Yasuhiro Minagawa to The Wall Street Journal this week.

Are you a fan of Flappy Bird? What are your thoughts on the similarities to Super Mario Bros?

Shows how retarded people can be. If there is a problem, they will just shout out anything to shift the blame on to someone else. There is never this, "Oh, there could be more than one, more likely reason..." because it is too complicated for most people.
