NES Remix 2 Featured in Nintendo Direct on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Following positive reviews and sales of the first NES Remix, today Nintendo announced a new game in the series: NES Remix 2. The release is slated for April 25th this year, both in North America and Europe. It will carry the same price tag as the first NES Remix.

Remix 2 will feature a different set of games from the first, including...

  • Ice Hockey
  • Zelda II
  • Super Mario Brothers 2 USA
  • Dr Mario
  • Kirby's Adventure
  • Super Mario Brothers 3
  • Kid Icarus
  • Punch-Out!!
  • Metroid
  • and several more titles

Additionally, NES Remix 2 features Super Luigi Bros., a remixed, complete version of the original Super Mario Brothers featuring Luigi, complete with his signature high jump. However, this time Luigi will be running through a completely mirrored version of the game, from right to left!

Sounds like an interesting challenge. Rest assured, Cubed3 will be there day 1!

Will you step back in time with NES Remix 2?

Love the Super Luigi Bros. idea. Possibilities are endless as to what they could do and with which games they could use. Big ask, but would love to see some SNES games get this kind of treatment; that's my era, really.

Zelda remix zelda remix zelda remix zelda remix, also some zelda remix please.

And yes, SNES Remix would be very welcome!

"Luigi will be running through the levels in reverse, from finish to start!"

That suggests Luigi starts at Bowser and then runs back to the first level, but it's not the case. It's just the whole game mirrored.

This has come quicker than i thought it would from the last one. I wonder if they will release a few more then make it a retail release?
