Super Mario Bros StopMotion Meets Kickstarter Goal on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

A Kickstarter campaign for a stop motion Super Mario Bros recreation has met its initial goal.

Creator Guiz De Pessemier had been seeking $300 to create a stop-motion animation sequence featuring the first level, 1-1, of Super Mario Bros made using Hama/Perler beads. De Pessemier had created a Stop Motion project in the past, reworking the iconic Donkey Kong arcade game into an impressive animated sequence.

He also announced a handful of stretch goals, promising additional stages and Bowser if the campaign goes over $2000. Backers will also receive numbered creations, and possibly also props from the sequence itself.
