Tsujimoto Talks Monster Hunter Western Appeal on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Ryozo Tsujimoto, Monster Hunter producer, was recently asked about bringing the series to the West and online play.

Fans are eagerly anticipating the appearance of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate in Western shores, with the 3DS exclusive bound for North America and Europe early next year. Talking about the need to increase the franchise's popularity overseas, Tsujimoto feels that online could be the "first step" for newcomers, with the "whole community spirit" ensuring Capcom can grow the "community size even larger than it is today."

He was also quizzed about the possibility for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate to embark on a Wii U adventure, however the team want to "see how having just a single platform online multiplayer game works out," so a Wii U version isn't planned for the time being.

Will you join fellow adventurers in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate - would you like to see a Wii U version?
