Persona Q to Feature Etrian Odyssey Elements on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

New details for Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth have been featured in Japanese magazine, Famitsu.

The Nintendo 3DS spin-off, which features characters from both Persona 3 and Persona 4, will involve new mechanics that'll bring a more Etrian Odyssey vibe to the experience.

One of these abilities will allow players to plot out dungeons on the touch-screen to help navigate tougher locations, and there'll also be creatures labelled as "F.O.E" monsters, which come with the choice to attack or run. The former option could offer up juicy rewards for putting in the effort, much like the tougher beasts in Etrian Odyssey.

Are you pleased with the shift in direction for Shadow of the Labyrinth?

Atlus could put out a can of hairspray with the word Persona on it and I'll still buy it. Helps that this looks and sounds great. Smilie
