With the current storyline arc coming to a close in the final adventure starring Hershel Layton, fans have been eager to discover what the studio's plans are when it comes to keeping the franchise alive.

In an interview, the Level-5 president expressed his determination in expanding the franchise beyond Hershel's timeline, with the studio intending to "continue on with the challenge of adding more unique Professor Layton titles to the overall series."

"I don't plan on letting Layton end here," he said.
