The talented folk behind the 3D Mario platformers are currently putting together their next project starring the plumber.
As with most Nintendo teams, work is always underway with finding new, innovative ideas for future games. For the company's flagship franchise Super Mario Bros, Nintendo producer Yoshiaki Koizumi confirmed in the latest issue of EDGE that the group have "started approaching our next challenge."
It's uncertain whether the new Mario title would be for 3DS or Wii U, however if it does end up on the home console, team leader Kenta Motokura feels that the GamePad would need to be integrated more.
The interview, which will be in the magazine to be published on April 10th, also covers development ideas like the Cat power-up and Double Cherry ability.
