Nintendo has announced a new Championship mode for NES Remix 2, inspired by the rare 1990 event.
The memorable Nintendo competition, which took place across the US during 1990, involved scoring points in three NES titles - Super Mario Bros., Rad Racer and Tetris, within a 6:21 time limit.
A similar format will become available in NES Remix 2, where players try to achieve a high score in Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3 and Dr. Mario. Those who'd like to share their success, or epic failure, on Miiverse will be able to post high scores.
Expanding on the original NES Remix release, the sequel will feature challenges from NES titles like Kid Icarus, Kirby's Adventure and Metroid - modified stages and added objectives.
Will you leap back through time for NES Remix 2?
