Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call Confirmed for Europe and North America 2014 Release on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Square Enix has announced that Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call will be released this year in Europe and North America, both as a digital download and a physical retail release.

The Nintendo 3DS rhythm game features 221 songs from up and down the series (with more as DLC), over 60 characters, and new modes of gameplay, including the Versus Mode and the Quest Medley. Versus Mode allows two players to battle each other in multiplayer, whilst Quest Medley lets fans choose a party of their favourite characters and take part in rhythm battles against foes.

Also new to the game is the Collecta Crystarium, which lets players use cards collected through playing to boost their character stats. Brand new characters include FFVII's Barret, FFX-2's Yuna, plus some from spin-off games, such as Crisis Core: FFVII's Zack, FF Tactics' Ramza, and FF Mystic Quest's Benjamin.

I'd consider getting this one too but I'm short on cash and need to pick which games I buy wisely. I also recently discovered that I'm pretty shit at rhythm games and playing any of them that aren't relatively easy just makes me feel depressed. Not to mention getting stuck on the second Dark Note I found in the original Theatrhythm.

You know the most wonderful thing about this? Square Enix is self-publishing!

Nintendo NEVER gives Square Enix games enough promotion...
