Activision Open to Skylanders Film Adaptation

Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg has expressed interest in developing a film adaptation to the popular Skylanders series.

Bouncing off the success of the LEGO film, Hirshberg would be open to bringing the series to the big screen as "it makes all the sense in the world for the movie business."

Despite having "great characters that have a built-in audience with kids," he understands that there would be a risk involved given the "pretty mixed results when it comes to making video games into movies." It's something that would have to be done with care and "in a way that enhances that core experience."
