Mario Kart 8 - New US Lab Test Adverts on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo of America have started to air a handful of amusing adverts for Mario Kart 8 ahead of the May 30th launch.

With the upcoming Wii U release boasting new items, mechanics an scrumptious HD graphics, the TV campaign revolves around a set of real life "lab tests" to simulate some of the new features of the game: from the "upside down" test to the "super horn" trial. Comedy mischief ensues!

The "Super Horn" allows a racer to attack others with an intense shockwave, disabling items held by nearby opponents, or even blocking the likes of a Blue Shell. The new boomerang grants the holder three attacks, cutting through any upcoming obstacles with ease.

LOL brilliant stuff - would love to see similar ads here in the UK.

Just over two weeks to go and I haven't seen a single Mario Kart 8 ad yet... :/ Kicking off on launch day supposedly.

Is this Nintendo???? Doing an advertisement??? For a game???? On Wii U???????

I hope they're finally realizing this is a need for the console, and this game is sure to move it. I mean, lest we forget how well Mario Kart Wii did.

Now this is adequate humor, this is the kind of humor Nintendo should approach & not that stupid overly serious humor that the Tobiyashi Life Nintendo Direct had or the lame play on words with thd Reggie Mech...stuff like that isn't very funny.
