Azure Striker Gunvolt to Contain Live Narrative on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Developer Inti Creates have described how storytelling will come into play in the 3DS side-scroller, Azure Striker Gunvolt.

The game, much like the Mega Man series, will include a blend of 2D action and nippy platforming, with the pace perhaps not suitable for traditional storytelling. As detailed in a 4Gamer report, the story will be presented in what's described as a "Light Novel 2D Action" style.

Instead of lengthy interactions that break up the flow, messages that progress the plot will splash up on the screen with optional voice acting. There will still be fully-voiced event scenes, however. Characters may not necessarily relay information on what's currently happening, with some, even the bosses, spitting lyrical about their lives.

Sounds a lot like Kid Icarus: Uprising, and I loved how it worked in that game!

Yeah that was really well done though I sometimes missed what they were saying due to the heavy action so I had to replay levels on lower difficulties to be able to appreciate what they were talking about. This is a great idea & only further causes me to drool over wanting this game!! Megaman Zero was the Devil May Cry of GBA games & I have no doubt that this will also deliver!!

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422
