Leap High with the Super Smash Bros. Rocket Belt on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The latest update on the Super Smash Bros. website has introduced a new item for players - the rocket belt.

Not all characters in the roster have the ability to easily recover, in particular the Earthbound duo Lucas and Ness from Super Smash Bros. Brawl, so the team have incorporated a new item that may just help.

Known as the "Rocket Belt" from Pilotwings, the item bolts onto a player, allowing players to instantly gain an upwards boost. "This is a really useful item for characters that have weaker recoveries," said director Masahiro Sakurai in a Miiverse update.
