Harvest Moon Returns to 3DS as Story of Seasons

Marvelous have announced a new entry in the Harvest Moon series, but under a new name.

Simply titled Story of Seasons, the game borrows elements from the Harvest Moon franchise - including the veteran team of developers and designers. Due to a different publisher however, XSEED Games, the use of "Harvest Moon" as a name couldn't work outside Japan, and so the series continues under a new title.

The core process remains the same - a character is created and becomes a resident of Oak Tree Town, a small village with a focus on, farming, of course. Livestock, relationships, customisation and even the interface is essentially Harvest Moon, but under a different name.

Story of Seasons will be shown in more detail during this year's E3 Expo.
