Jungle Badger Sticks to Join the Sonic Boom Roster on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

A new character has been announced for the Sonic the Hedgehog universe, a boomerang wielding lass known as Sticks.

Just what animal is Sticks? Well, SEGA describe her as a "jungle badger". To be introduced in Sonic Boom, she'll be "wilder" than the other members of the Sonic team, using homemade weapons and being rather hyperactive. "The concepts of sharing, compassion and friendship are foreign to her" said SEGA in a press release, though has a desire to get closer to her new allies, particularly Amy.

Sticks will also make appear in the animated show, to air on Cartoon Network in the US.

I was about to point out that she looks nothing like a badger, then remembered it's Sonic.

Favorite new character right there! I always hate it when the G. Men try & replace my flowers with violins.

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422

Inevitable hate most likely from "Sonic fans", but yeah I love her! She's a very fun character and I love the voice actress, she's fantastic!

They could have least tried to make her look different from Marine colour-wise. Whilst it would have been nice if they had stuck to the current cast instead of making yet another new character, I'm not one to complain about new Sonic critters! Hope this turns out good and gives the Japan team a kick up the arse.
