SteamWorld Dig Confirmed for Nintendo Wii U Release

Image & Form have confirmed a release for the popular 2D platformer SteamWorld Dig on Nintendo Wii U.

Going by the feedback and sheer demand for the title on Nintendo's home console, the project is now in development for the big screen. A fall 2014 release is currently on the cards, with the folk behind the critically acclaimed game being big Nintendo fans themselves being the catalyst for Wii U development.

In the blog post, Nintendo's console was described as a "powerhouse, which is extremely cool", but the team are still deciding on how best to use the Wii U GamePad and Miiverse in the console version of SteamWorld Dig.
