Final Fantasy Explorers Announced for Nintendo 3DS on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Jump magazine has revealed a brand new game from Square Enix for Nintendo 3DS.

Final Fantasy Explorers is a multiplayer four-player action RPG. The magazine scan shows four jobs - monk, white mage, knight and black mage. According to the magazine article, the black mage specialises in long-range magic attacks, the white mage acts as the healer, the knight makes enemies attack him to shield the party, and the monk uses physical attacks to best the enemy. Many other jobs from the Final Fantasy universe exist in the game, and different ones need to be put to use to take down certain opponents. A large variety of weapons are also present.

Basic story details include players going in pursuit of the crystal, battling huge Summons that stand in their way. Ifrit is shown as one such Summon in the game.

No release date has been given, but it has only been announced for Japan for the time being.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, without the Crystal Chronicles universe but the classic FF universe instead Smilie (as in, "no tribes" Smilie)

General consensus is that this is Square's take on Monster Hunter.

Interesting. If we get this and it has online, definitely considering buying it. But it's Square-Enix, sooo...Smilie

I'm game! FF:CC was pretty good fun. Love a good hack 'n' slash I do - not a fan of Monster Hunter.

Wonder if this is following the FF MMO trend that 11 & 14 are doing?

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422
