E3 2014 Media | Developers Talk Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 in Treehouse Session on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo held a pair of roundtable sessions during E3 2014, talking about both Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2.

Platinum Games are re-releasing the first Bayonetta on Wii U as part of a bundle with the sequel, with additional content and features included in the Wii U version. One of these features are Nintendo-themed costumes and weapons, like a Link outfit with Master Sword as featured in the demo. There'll also be different control methods, including traditional and touch-based inputs.

In the second session, the team venture into the Wii U-exclusive sequel, Bayonetta 2. The gameplay snippets explore the opening levels, Bayonetta's newer look, additional characters and battle mechanics like "Witch Time".

Loved what I saw here! I'm glad I didn't put much time into the PS3 version of Bayonetta now, since we'll be getting a proper port of the original for free with Bayonetta 2! Excellent move from Nintendo and Platinum Games! Smilie
