Nintendo Dominated Twitter Conversations During E3 2014 on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Independent research has highlighted a strong social presence for Nintendo at E3 last week.

Nintendo opted for a different approach during the annual industry affair, taking on live-video streaming and keeping the focus solely on the games, games and games. With that in mind, plus key names like Super Smash Bros., Pokémon and Shigeru Miyamoto, the company dominated Twitter conversations.

According to social media analytics provider Crimson Hexagon, the #Nintendo hashtag came up over 30,000 times, with #e32014 featured in around 55,000 tweets. The report noted how PlayStation claimed 28% of the chunk, with 25% going to Xbox. Nintendo claimed around 47% of all the E3-related tweets, according to the company.

The company revealed a range of projects, including a brand new Legend of Zelda title for Wii U, multiplayer shooter Splatoon and Mario Maker.
