60FPS Bayonetta Trailer Plus Nintendo Costume Details on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

In a new blog entry, the director of the Bayonetta Wii U port discussed the introduction of Nintendo skins in the game.

The inclusion of Nintendo costumes for Bayonetta was introduced last week, and described in further detail today by Isao Negishi. In the Wii U port, there'll even more costumes for the game's protagonist to wear, including Princess Peach, Samus and Link.

Princess Peach is able to spawn Bowser for massive damage, Link can bare the Master Sword, plus a range of Legend of Zelda sound effects for good measure. The space-age bounty hunter Samus will come with a blaster, plus also the option to put her visor up or down during a cut-scene.

I'm so psyched for this. I remember Kamiya-san expressing interest in releasing the original Bayonetta on Wii U, but I honestly didn't think he'd actually do it. Much less include it with Bayonetta 2 as a free bonus! Epic WIN. Smilie

I'm curious, though. Is it me, or do the textures seem a bit muddy and the resolution a little lower in the Wii U version? Smilie I hope that's not how they're getting it to run at 60FPS.
