Bandai Namco Taking Pokémon to the Arcades on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo have posted a new trailer for a new Pokémon arcade game for Japan.

Developed by the folk at Bandai Namco, who also worked on the popular Mario Kart GP series, the game appears to use a grid-based battle approach where players take on other critters and capturing them using the standard Pokéball toss. It's uncertain, however, whether this particular project will make it to the West, but is feasible given the sheer popularity of the franchise.

The game's name loosely translates to "Pocket Monster Battle Nine: Battle & Get Line Combo Medal Game."
