Why Atlus is Remaking Etrian Odyssey II for Nintendo 3DS on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Why is Atlus continuing to revisit classic Etrian Odyssey? Shigeo Komori spoke up in the latest issue of Famitsu magazine.

Since reworking the original Etrian Odyssey into Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl, the team have been working on remake treatment for the sequel, to be release in Japan this year. Speaking to Famitsu, Komori noted how the feedback from the first game, like "it was fun" and "I'd also like to have the new Etrian Odyssey Untold series continue" spurred the team on to also remake Etrian Odyssey II.

The new game, for Nintendo 3DS will feature a brand new story and opening video sequence from Madhouse, plus a gameplay feature that's said to involve "transformation".
