US Release Date for Gunvolt: 29th August on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

A North American release date has been set for the much anticipated 3DS side-scroller, Gunvolt.

The studio behind the game, Inti Creates, confirmed the news on Twitter today - 29th August for $14.99. As for a European release, there isn't a timeframe yet, but the team are working on bringing the game to the continent at somepoint.

Inti Creates is working alongside the Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune on the game, which bares similar elements to Inafune's work on Mega Man Zero and the upcoming Mighty No. 9. The game is a side-scroller, featuring a young boy with psychic abilities who goes up against a giant organistion. High speed and high tension 2D action for Nintendo's portable.

Day one download for me, gameplay will be AWESOME as MMZ has proven....so as long as the story isn't bad this will be one VERY enjoyable game to own!!

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422

Lovin the graphics and story line so far from the preview video. The games going to be great. Yep put me down to for a day one release purchase. Im wondering though will this just be a down loadable copy or will it also have a retail release. I would love to have case art work, game card , guide book and mabey some additional Nintendo club coins Lol !....

Most likely DL only given the below average price for it compared to digital & retail titles. Still it's gonna be an enjoyable game.
