During the Unite 2014 conference, Nintendo held a panel to outline opportunities for developers who are considering Wii U.
Damon Baker, senior Marketing Manager/Licensing, outlined the key reasons for why developers should consider bringing their projects to Wii U - including free access to a free Unity license, specific controller functionality and improved business momentum in recent months.
Baker also noted how there are 80+ projects that use Unity in development for the Wii U eShop, and also highlighted how around 90% of Wii U consoles are online, and around 70% of those users are shopping on the eShop.
Interestingly, the Wii U gender breakdown for the eShop is around 93% Male to 7% female, with the biggest chunks being 18-24 (33%) and 25-34 (46%).
