Takashi Tezuka Confirms Online Stage Sharing for Mario Maker on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Producer Takashi Tezuka has confirmed that Mario Maker will feature the ability for players to share their stage creations online with friends and others around the world.

Tezuka-san anticipates that the level creator title will "stimulate the imagination" of players that create their own courses in Mario Maker, hoping that they will come up with some very creative ideas after testing their own stages out to find expected and unexpected results.

He goes on to say that he does not believe that this editing software will be in competition to the proper Super Mario Bros. games that Nintendo's in-house developers create, citing that the boss battles, the overall building of the game world, the series of successive levels and the new features that accompany each new Mario game mean the fun that players have with the main series is different to simply playing one or two courses in Mario Maker.

Well, good to hear online sharing is there in some form, but there really needs to be more then just friend sharing for it to work well.

Sadly " the series of successive levels " sounds like Maker wont let you make "campaigns" Smilie
The amateur Mario makers (Luner Magic FTW) sill have it beat then.
