Ice Climbers Data Found in Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Data from Ice Climbers in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS were recently uncovered by a player in Japan.

The upcoming games for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U are confirmed to not include the series-favourite pair, the Ice Climbers, but it seems that data from development may have been left in the final retail release by mistake.

Encountered when playing as Villager and battling Dr. Mario characters, a "Nana, Popo" chant can be heard; the names of the two Ice Climbers.

It seems, however, that this particular nugget was removed from the US version of the game.

Should Ice Climbers have been included, at least in the Wii U version?
