Shantae and the Pirate's Curse Getting NEW 3DS Update

With the NEW Nintendo 3DS offering up extra control, Shantae and the Pirate's Curse will be updated to take advantage of the hardware.

Developer WayForward are pondering how to use the added features of the NEW 3DS console to enhance the genie's adventure, with series director Matt Bozon confirming that the studio "have an update for Shantae and the Pirate's Curse already underway."

The patch adds a "quick select" control scheme and other minor improvements, set to launch nearer the release of NEW 3DS consoles in North America.

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse will be available next month in the US.
