Why Smash Bros. 3DS Doesn

Why does Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS lack support for the Circle Pad Pro?

With the Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL consoles having the optional, additional analogue nub/circle pad as a bolt-on shell, some fans have wondered why the device isn't supported in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS.

"Supporting the CCP requires the use of some of the CPU's processing load," said the game's producer Masahiro Sakurai to Japanese magazine, Famitsu. Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS uses the "maximum capability of the device, so we had to abandon the idea of CCP support."

The New Nintendo 3DS consoles, however, do support the C-Stick given the additional processing power.

Would you have used the additional C-stick if the game supported the Circle Pad Pro?
