Minecraft Clone Stone Shire Heading to Nintendo Wii U on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Another project inspired by Minecraft is heading to Nintendo Wii U from Finger Fun Games, called Stone Shire.

"Explore, mind and build," reads the premise from the studio. There'll be various different races to play as, including hobbits, dwarves and elves, each with their own unique abilities. "One moment you could be fighting a goblin in the woods. Or you could be mining in the deep caves under a mountain, when suddenly you spot red eyes peering through the dark as a drow or some other beast desires to prey upon you."

The game also draws inspiration from Dwarf Fortress and Dungeons 'n' Dragons.

Currently in development for Nintendo Wii U, the game may also venture onto 3DS depending on how it performs on Nintendo's home console.

What do you think of the concept?
