Pokkén Tournament is geared towards older fans, says Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada.
With the Pokémon Company teaming up with fighting experts Bandai Namco on the upcoming arcade release, Harada and his team are injecting content aimed for those "over 18 years of age to the early 30s," he said in an interview with 4Gamer. That said, it will still be suitable for young children, but the main audience will be those that are older.
"Those in their 20s and 30s today have spent a lot of time during their school days with Pokémon, and have some strong memories looking back at the games and anime," he feels. With that ethos in mind, Pokkén Tournament will allow older fans to "experience what it's like to freely move around their favorite Pokémon."
