With the open-world hacking adventure due to surface on Nintendo's home console next month, Ubisoft have been working to integrate the system into the accompanying mobile app. The Watch Dogs Companion allows players to connect and manipulate the worlds of other Watch Dogs players, including the police force and SWAT carts.

Watch Dogs will be available on Nintendo Wii U from November 18.

App support? Blimey, Ubisoft are going all out for this version. :/

Shouldn't all these functionalities have been implemented in the gamepad itself in the first place?

It's just an app to play certain games against other people using your iPhone/Pad anywhere you are. Can't really take your GamePad on the move and connect online.

Ah fair enough I thought it was a companion app to actually control the main character's phone in-game using your own Smilie, to hack into stuff. Wasn't aware that it was THAT kind of thing Smilie.

Canceled my pre-order for this game

(Not because of this, but for many other reasons)

Wow cool I really really really hope this game sells well. If it does mabey we could see more Ubi Soft retail tiles in the future.
