UCraft Wii U Delayed and Alpha Trailer on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The team behind UCraft have confirmed that the game has been delayed till second quarter next year.

In a project update blog, Nexis Games posted a new trailer from the game's alpha build, and noted how the game has been pushed back to ensure that UCraft isn't a rushed release.

The game will allow users to create and take part in quests, missions and user-generated campaigns online, and create sub-games within the block world for an experience that's "never ending and unlike any other."

Ucraft will have a never-ending world, Survival Mode, up to 16 players online, voice chat and support for SDK Paint.

What we really want to see is that this game lets you create giant super structures like Minecraft does, they really haven't been showing much in the way of construction, in fact all we've seen is the game rendering landscapes, and that's pretty much it. I know it's just alpha footage, but there not showing much more from one video to the next. Maybe they should request people who actually play these type of games to play their own and build the kind of stuff with it that you'd expect to find in a Minecraft game, to show off that you can do it on wii U, and push the gamepad use as being more intuitive or something, I don't know...

Well I guess we just gotta be patient Rudy, it's great that this dev team has heart & wants to support Nintendo. Also there was no mention of the Wii U hardware being much of an issue when Minecract was originally being considered for Wii U (it's on the 360 for Pete's sake) so I have no doubts that this fan made love letter to sandbox creative games will be able to do the same.

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422
