Forever hoping for Sonic 2 3D : (

This is great news, but I can't help it that my gut reaction is, "ARGH! Just give us regular Mega Drive VC support, already!!!".

Though I'd love MD Virtual Console (especially on the 3DS), these SEGA 3D Classics aren't MD games in every case... Space Harrier, Super Hang-On, Galaxy Force II, After Burner, OutRun and Thunder Blade are all original arcade ports.

If anything they just need to release a Sonic  compilation Collection on the 3DS with 1,2,3&Knuckles. Even put CD in there as well if they can get it on the cart. I know the DS had the collection but it had a terrible frame rate. Also I like how they have spruced up the iOS versions so it would be nice to get something like that for the 3DS.

Agreed. That, and the superb 3D effect, help ease the pain. ^_^
