Bandai Namco have announced an enhanced version of their 2011 3DS title Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy for release in Japan next year.

Ace Combat 3D: Cross Rumble+ was announced in this week's issue of Famitsu as well as being confirmed in last night's Nintendo Direct. It will include new features, such as collaborations with Nintendo characters as part of jet designs, as well as Amiibo support and support for the New Nintendo 3DS' extra buttons.

The game will release in Japan on January 15. In the meantime, check out our review of the original version, itself a remake of Ace Combat 2.
