Miiverse Change to Allow Public Profile Views on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo of Japan have posted a new Miiverse message that details an upcoming update, with a release expected later this month.

The change will mainly involve user profiles on Miiverse, with a significant update incoming that will open up the network from its fairly closed state. For the moment, visitors to the browser version can view posts and communities, but user profiles are only accessible when users login to the service.

The forthcoming update will allow profiles on the browser version of Miiverse to be accessed and viewed without the need to login; i.e. public profiles. However, users will be able to adjust privacy settings to restrict public access if required.

What do you think of the changes to Miiverse profiles?
