Smash Bros. Wii U Pre-Orders Surpass Mario Kart 8

Reggie Fils-Aime has confirmed strong pre-order figures for the much anticipated Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.

The Nintendo of America president highlighted how the launch of "Mario Kart 8 has essentially doubled our Wii U sales year-on-year," and how pre-sales of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U have surpassed Nintendo's flagship racer.

"Our expectation is that the sell-through for Smash is going to be very strong, certainly on par with what we saw with Mario Kart 8. We think the impact on hardware will be similarly dramatic," he said.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will be available across North America from 21st November and Europe a week later, 28th November.
