Hyrule Warriors' Twilight Princess DLC Detailed

Hyrule Warriors

Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma has confirmed details of the second Hyrule Warriors DLC pack via Miiverse.

Dubbed the Twilight Princess Pack, the DLC will introduce one new playable character: the Twili form of Midna, who appeared briefly at the end of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Her weapon of choice is the Mirror of Twilight, which is the gateway between Midna's Twilight Realm and the human world.

Also re-confirmed are the appearances of new weapons and costumes, as well as a third Adventure Mode map. Details of those are, however, still sketchy, although Aonuma does stress that "for one of the costumes, you can dress Link up as a certain familiar character from the Zelda series", indicating further fanservice to come.

As reported earlier, a free update will come to Hyrule Warriors at the same time as this DLC, adding amiibo support. Currently confirmed compatible amiibo figurines are Link and Toon Link (who unlock the Spinner weapon for Link), as well as Zelda and Sheik (whose use is unknown).

The Twilight Princess Pack launches on November 27th, and is the second DLC pack available for the game. The third and fourth packs launch in January and February respectively.

I'm. So. Happy. Smilie I was hoping and hoping Midna's true form was going to be a playable character in HW. Smilie

Chance favors the prepared mind.

I know it's a bit late to be saying this but Zelda Amiibo lets you obtain a random 3 star or higher weapon once per day & sheik lets you get a random 3 star or less weapon once per day.

Great! Wanted her as playable aswell.. Now all we need is Tingle and the character list shall be complete!

The difference between illusion and reality is vague to the one who suffers from the former and questionable for the one suffering form the later.

For as long as Malon isn't in the game, it will never be complete in my eyes.

I can so in front of me see her as a fighter in this game.. o.o Her attacks are made of her singing so that horses comes and attacks the enemies. Beautiful and artistic in every way... O.O And her super attack would be the summoning of Epona and then she took her place on the horseback and shot a hurricane of arrows killing everything in a big radio around her. Beautiful.

Yeah, we need Malon...

Malon? That's a new one. Smilie Usually its all about the Groose!

Absolutely insane amount of stuff in this game, even without all the DLC!

Heh, plenty of reasons but she's my fave character in the series, and a reoccurring one at that, so deserves a spot more than many other characters, especially the overrated Groose. She could have a very fun and hilarious moveset. The Miiverse campaigning continues.

How would she fight though? Could you give us some ideas for those of us who find it hard to imagine. I could KINDA see her being a sort of summoner by calling on different farm animals to fight like Lana's Summon Gate....but good. Or she could use a bow & arrow....Hyrule Warriors doesn't really have any ranged characters to speak of...even Wizro has poor attack reach.

I know but the question was geared towards Azu since it was his idea to want Malon in Hyrule Warriors.
