Mighty Gunvolt Gets a Release Date and DLC on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Mighty Gunvolt has received a release date from developers Inti Creates.

Previous only available as a bonus upon the purchase of Inti Creates' other game, Azure Striker Gunvolt, the game will release as a standalone game on the 3DS eShop on November 28th, priced at $3.99.

Mighty Gunvolt is a retro-styled platformer that combines three hit retro-styled series, allowing players to take control of Azure Striker Gunvolt's titular character, Mighty No. 9's Beck or Gal*Gun's Ekoro, each with their own playstyles, to battle their way through Mega Man-esque stages.

The release will come with a free update for early adopters. Version 2.0.0 will feature the following:

  • The ability to exit from the Stage Select screen to the title screen
  • New animations for all characters upon entering and exiting a stage
  • Shorter time required to charge Gunvolt's charged attack
  • Increased number of shots that Ekoro can fire at once, as well as making her Lock-On Shot more effective at converting enemies
  • Re-balancing with enemies
  • More hidden items
On the same day, a DLC package will be released, priced at $2.99 and featuring four new stages and their bosses: the "BIO LAB" stage with Azure Striker Gunvolt's Elise; the "HIGHWAY" stage with Mighty No. 7; the "FACTORY" stage starring Mighty No. 1; and the "GYM" stage featuring Mr. Happiness of Gal*Gun fame.
