Developer of the Year = Nintendo and it should not be a contest. They have been on a roll for the past 12 months starting with SM3DW.

Would love to see Bayonetta win a few awards.

Hopefully the Game Awards turn out much better this year and don't become a joke/farce like they usually are.

As for this list, for me it only serves as a reminder that there.. really hasn't been much in terms of really great games this year, especially compared to last year or even the year before.

It's also.. kinda sad that there's even an Award for "Best Remaster".

"*Ahem* Yes, and the award for 'best game we played with slightly worse graphics last year' IIIIIS...."

Couldn't agree more Mike Clark. The question is: Will the ones deciding who will win agree? I think people take Nintendo's games for granted. Very few, if any, publish and develop as many games as them and especially at that stable high quality.

The difference between illusion and reality is vague to the one who suffers from the former and questionable for the one suffering form the later.

If it was Bayonetta 2 vs Dark Souls, it would be an extremely hard pick for me...but Dark Souls II? Bayonetta 2 wins, for sure.

Really hope Bayonetta 2 can grab some awards, though. Utterly brilliant game that deserves every bit of extra exposure.

what the fuck kind of award/catagory is "most anticipated"?

what kind of marketing nonsense is this shit?  who the hell are they trying to fool?

Greatness Awaits Smilie

Bayonetta 2 obviously had a lot of heart and passion put into it's development so I do hope that wins. Will be nice for the WIiU to claim the Game of the Year as an exclusive too.

I would have though Zelda U would have been on the most anticipated list? Smilie Seen just as much footage as Uncharted i.e very little.

The GOTY selection is.. like wow. :/

Same with some other categories. Can't believe Mario Kart 8 isn't in the Best Online Experience selection, along with Best Soundtrack and even GOTY. It really has been a poor year for games on other consoles if those are meant to be the best games. This year was the year for Nintendo, in my opinion. They had so much great exclusives.

Also, The Walking Dead: Season 2 should be in the GOTY catagory.

Bayonetta 2 needs to win GOTY.

I, like most people, will only be watching in case Bethesda announces Fallout 4 during them.

In all seriousness, this could be a lot worse. Could be better, though. Best Family Game - Tomodachi Life? Really? That game doesn't have multiplayer. It doesn't even have more than one save file. That game is family-friendly for sure, but when I think "family game" I think "a game you play with your family" and that isn't the case here.

Super Smash Wii U not nominated for anything but best fighter? Come on. At least they gave mad props to Bayonetta 2.

Monolith Productions made one game that was generally well-received, but winning best developer for that would be a bit of a sham. Nintendo is behind 9 of the games on the list, leaps and bounds above every other developer, seems a little unbalanced to put up a studio with only one game. I mean, if you're going to give Best Developer to a studio with one game that year, it needs to be a game of Telltale or Valve quality, something extremely special. Shadow of Mordor looks like a great game, but I wouldn't say it's on that level.

Not sure you could give "best performance" to anyone who isn't Kevin Spacey with a straight face.

How is Zelda U not on Most Anticipated? Some of the games on the list have shown little to no in-game footage so far, and half of them were 2014 releases that got delayed last-minute. I also think the hype for Evolve is pretty much gone; that game won so many awards at E3 only to run an alpha to an overwhelming "good-not-great."

Good choices on Best Score. I would think Destiny has it in the bag, but that's some tough competition.

These are just my opinions, though. Overall, I think it's a darn good list.

Agree. Bonus point for none of the games on that list being on my personal most anticipated list... xD

Agree. The GotY list candidates where somewhat questionable. I mean Hearthstone? Wtf... More Nintendo titles could clearly have made it to the list and no one would complain. Heck, maybe, god forbid, a JRPG could go onto that list? We have had some pretty good coming out this year. For some reason though those seem to be forever banned from GotY speculation, even the extremely good ones like Xenoblade Chronicles...
