Over in Japan, Nintendo will start to phase out various different Nintendo 3DS XL (LL) models.
With the latest incarnations of the Nintendo 3DS consoles now out and performing well at retail in Japan, it only seems appropriate for Nintendo to start to phase out some of the older models. The Nintendo 3DS XL consoles, including white, black, red x black and blue x black will stop being produced, "slated to end shortly," the company confirmed on the official website.
No word on plans for the West just yet, but presumably similar approaches would take place once the NEW Nintendo 3DS consoles hit.
Are you planning on grabbing hold of a NEW Nintendo 3DS? Should Nintendo phase out the older XL models?
