Recently announced last month, Gust's next RPG for Nintendo 3DS will be releasing in Japan on March 26th. The official name will be the rather long-winded New Atelier Rorona: The Origin Story of the Alchemist of Arland.
New features include a redesigned battle system, where players look down on a grid-based field, with enemies visible on-screen before encounters take place. The game will take the form of a strategy RPG, with items having a limited range for use.
Another mode can be unlocked as progress is made. Known as Atelier Astrid, this allows players to experience the younger days of Astrid Zexis and Sterkenburg Cranach.
The aspects of the PS3 and Vita versions apparently remain, but costumes have been cut down to those picked out by the developers as ones that look better suited to the chibi style of the characters.
A Premium Box version will retail for 9,504 yen, whilst the standard edition will go for 6,264 yen.
