Tomodachi Life Sells Over 1 Million in Europe on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo's portable lifestyle simulator, Tomodachi Life, has proven popular in Europe.

The charming and often quirky game for 3DS/2DS allows players to invite their Mii characters - family, friends and even celebrities, into a virtual world. Here they'll interact, form friendships and even bare offspring, whilst hanging out, singing, dancing and going for strolls on the pixellated sands.

The game has now sold over 1 million copies in Europe alone, the company confirmed on Twitter this week. That is certainly a large wad of Mii characters!

I never really saw the appeal, nonetheless that's a good set of numbers. I wonder why this has been so popular? I wonder if the whole "no gays allowed" media exposure gave it free publicity!
